Research Associate

The Research Associate supports a multi-year research project of the Institutional Antiracism and Accountability (IARA) Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. The Research Associate is a key member of the team investigating the archives of the American Medical Association (AMA) for race-related historical harms to understand their linkages to AMA practices. They contribute to research briefs to help dismantle systemic health inequities and create a compendium of institutional historical harms to enrich understanding in medical science. 

Candidates must demonstrate experience with archival research, social science, or historical methods, familiarity with racial justice or racial equity, and a willingness to approach problems with creativity and collaboration.
